Forty years makes a pretty big family...

Pictured above is Windancing's Hired Hand, better known as "Luke," who sired many, many dogs that lived their lives with families of Western Pennsylvania. Luke appears in most of the pedigrees here at Loblolly, and we are proud of his legacy because he was a beautiful, vigorous dog-- athletic, charismatic, and smart. In honor of Luke, this page offers testimony to the influence of the Windancing and Stepamgar lines as they evolve now through the Loblolly breeding program.

Featured below are some of the many pictures sent from Loblolly families to us, which are intended to illustrate the quality of dog and loving devotion of family we hope to unite with every litter that we produce.

We thank Luke and all the Stepamgar and Windancing Labs for the joy, humor, and hassle of dog companionship: in short, a recipe for the sublime. 

We thank Jim and Sandy Shreffler for dragging a disgruntled adolescent to dog shows, field trials, and club meetings for over a decade in an effort to share something truly meaningful and wonderful--a lesson which I, that adolescent, finally got a few decades later.
